1000’s of Flights Are Delayed or Canceled as July 4 Travel Kicks Off

Travelers across the country faced the prospect of canceled or delayed flights on Saturday as airlines and airports handled a mixture of high demand, bad weather and staffing shortages.

The agency also has added alternate routes and placed more controllers in high demand areas, and increased data sharing.”
