Published:

The 49ers’ offense is well-equipped for second-year quarterback Trey Lance heading into the 2022 NFL season.

Each on the bottom and thru the air, San Francisco has a plethora of weapons that ought to provide loads of support for the 22-year-old signal-caller.

In a recent rating of position groups across the NFL, Sharp Football Evaluation had the 49ers’ wide receivers/tight ends ranked because the second-best unit within the league based on average ranks on a 100-point scale.

2. San Francisco 49ers

“We’re assuming [wide receiver] Deebo Samuel suits up for the 49ers this season,” Sharp Football Analyst Ryan McCrystal writes. “Consequently, their pass catchers landed in the highest five on every ballot. If we could guarantee a totally healthy season from [tight end] George Kittle, the unit could have ranked primary.”

The 49ers’ offense has a ton of potential and can rely on Lance’s development in his first full season because the starter.
