Abbie Chatfield blasts Brittany Hockley and Kyle Sandilands in ‘slut-shaming’ row

Abbie Chatfield has come out guns blazing against KIIS FM’s Kyle Sandilands and Brittany Hockley, accusing the pair of ‘slut-shaming’ her during a radio segment.

The outspoken podcaster unleashed on Kyle and Brittany on Tuesday after they joked about her dating around during an interview with Yung Gravy on The Kyle and Jackie O Show back in November.

The pair made the comments after the American rapper, whose real name is Matthew Raymond Hauri, confirmed that he went on a date with Abbie.

After the rapper said he’d made plans to satisfy with Abbie, Kyle responded: ‘You and everybody else. Line up, my friend, line up!’

‘I believe we have a date planned,’ added Gravy, to which Brittany responded: ‘I even have little doubt.’

Although the interview happened a month ago, an enraged Abbie reacted to it on Tuesday’s episode of her podcast It’s A Lot, accusing the pair of spreading ‘misogynistic rhetoric’ about her.

‘The problem that I believe people like Kyle and Brittany have with me is that I’m able to discuss sexuality in a way that won’t shameful, and so they think that that must equate to f**king around, having sex each day,’ she said.

‘When actually, it’s just that I do not have the shame that they’ve, and subsequently they’re projecting it onto me,’ she added.

‘Say what you would like about me, but don’t perpetuate slut-shaming bulls**t on the largest radio show within the country.’

She also shared a lengthy post in regards to the incident on Instagram, saying she was ‘incredibly disenchanted to listen to Kyle and Brittany slut-shame me’.

Abbie’s loyal followers agreed together with her, with many taking to the comments section to blast Kyle and Brittany for being so ‘problematic’.

‘I won’t ever understand how Kyle gets any radio time,’ wrote one.

‘I didn’t expect this from Brittany. I do know numerous her podcast listeners were really disenchanted when she took the position with Kyle, myself included,’ one other added. ‘But I believed she deserved the good thing about the doubt. Clearly she didn’t.’

Lots of Abbie’s fans then moved off her page and went on to Brittany’s Instagram account to troll the Life Uncut host.

‘I even have a matter, Britt: do you support women and girls’s rights?’ asked one.

‘Do higher, girl. Seriously, do higher. Slut-shaming is not right and you understand it. Rise up, get up, for girls!’ added one other.

Day by day Mail Australia has contacted KIIS FM for comment.

Brittany currently co-hosts Australia’s hottest female-led podcast, Life Uncut, together with her best friend Laura Byrne. 

The podcast has been spun off into its own radio show on KIIS FM, and Brittany has also been filling in for Jackie ‘O’ Henderson on The Kyle and Jackie O Show since last month.

Abbie, a successful podcaster and radio personality in her own right, is currently signed to rival network LiSTNR, which is owned by Southern Cross Austereo.

Each Brittany and Abbie shot to fame as runners-up on The Bachelor.

Brittany was ditched by Nick Cummins on season six in 2018, while Abbie was omitted by Matt Agnew for Chelsie McLeod the next yr.
