Lloris has taken loads of flak for his role in Arsenal’s opener. O’Hara condemned the goalkeeper but admitted the goal was coming.
He added: “I just do not know what he’s pondering, I do not know what he’s seeing. He’s hit the ball at him and it is a response.
“But goalkeepers’ response at all times is to maintain the ball out of the web, you do not ever palm it near your goal. I’m not a goalkeeper so I do not know what goes through a goalkeeper’s head in those moments.
“But your instincts surely inform you as a goalkeeper, just whatever you do, when the ball’s coming at you, keep it away out of your goal. He must makes so many mistakes, truthfully it was comical. Let’s be honest, the goal was coming.”
