Matteo Guendouzi and Konstantinos Mavropanos left on everlasting transfers but only resulting from obligation to purchase clauses of their loan contracts last season. Arsenal have spent almost £120m on latest signings, so now have to let a few of their squad players leave.
But Edu insists he continues to be looking out for brand spanking new players if the chance arises. The Brazilian told Sky Sports: “I feel we now have to be prepared for each situation.
“We still feel the transfer window is open and an important thing is to be prepared for every thing, every scenario, because opportunities can occur. Clubs can approach us, players probably need to go on loan, so there’s still lots to do, but again, being prepared for me is an important [thing] and of course we’re very much prepared for nearly every thing.”
