‘I even have some news that I desired to share… s**t I’m already crying,’ she began.
‘I even have made the tough decision to finally end up hosting the show at the top of the 12 months.
‘It has been the toughest decision of my skilled life, to make this call, nevertheless it’s time for a recent challenge and for my next chapter.’
She said she was going to miss her ‘mates on the desk’ and the ‘wonderful viewers’ who’ve supported the show for over a decade.

‘It’s no secret that this show has turn out to be a second home to me, and I could not be more thankful to everyone that has been involved on and off screen,’ she said.
‘It has been a protracted journey. I began the show when Ollie, my son, was one, and he’s now 15, which is crazy. And I would like to spend more time at home.
‘I would like to have more family dinners. I’ll watch the show at home with a glass of wine in hand. I just desired to say an infinite thanks.

Her co-host Lisa Wilkinson posted a tribute to Instagram wherein she thanked her long-time friend for her friendship and generosity on the panel.
‘We mere mortals won’t ever know the way you probably did all of it with a lot grace, good humour and all that glamour,’ she wrote.
‘I do know what an enormous decision this has been for you, and we’re all going to miss you terribly come 12 months’s end. Cannot wait to see what comes next in your extraordinary life, or to share that next glass of wine – or five – with you!’
Carrie will proceed to host the Hit Network’s national drive show with Tommy Little following her departure from The Project, an insider has confirmed.
Her management can be in talks with all three industrial networks to secure her future TV prospects as she prepares to exit Channel 10 next month.
Sources accustomed to the negotiations say Bickmore won’t be leaving the Carrie and Tommy show, which airs weekdays from 3-6pm.
Additionally they denied reports she was being considered for 2Day FM’s breakfast show.
