The Philadelphia Eagles and Miami Dolphins have yet another preseason game before each teams embark on finalizing their 53-man rosters and prepare for the beginning of the regular season. Philadelphia and Miami only participated in a single joint practice this week because the Dolphins had a case of a stomach bug going around that caused them to cancel Thursday’s joint practice.
Regardless, the Eagles and Dolphins are expected to play the vast majority of their second teamers Saturday as players vie for a spot on the 53-man roster. Deon Cain and former first-round pick Jalen Reagor are fighting for a roster spot at wide receiver on the Eagles while the security position will come right down to K’Von Wallace, Jaquiski Tartt, Reed Blankenship, and Andre Chachere.
For the Dolphins, River Cracraft and Trent Sherfield are battling for a roster spot at wide receiver, trying to unseat Preston Williams or Lynn Bowden. At linebacker, Duke Riley and Calvin Munson are fighting for a roster spot.
