Everton next manager: Wayne Rooney on four-man shortlist to switch Frank Lampard | Football | Sport

Published:

Lampard remains to be holding onto his job for now and is predicted to still be in charge for Everton’s FA Cup clash with United on Friday. Speaking back in November, Rooney opened up more on his “dream” to at some point manage Everton or United.

He said: “Obviously, Everton and Manchester United are the 2 clubs who’re really near my heart so to administer one among the 2 can be a dream. I’m still gaining loads of experience from what I’m doing. You must learn, and I need to enter Everton or Manchester United,

“I need to go in there and give you the chance to present the perfect version of me. I’d be naive to say ‘I’ll go and manage Manchester United in the following yr or so’. For me, it’s about putting the work in and developing myself and if I try this and I do it in the appropriate way, then I feel these jobs, these opportunities will come to me eventually.”
