Blue Wiggle Anthony Field’s brother Paul launches his own kids band: ‘We wish our music to face out from the pack’

The Wiggles’ former director Paul Field has launched a latest kids music band. 

Paul, who’s the previous director of The Wiggles, can be releasing first album titled Animal Songs this week.

The group will even release two more records, Lullabies and Nursery Rhymes, in June and July.

‘These three albums are the start of the start; we would like Peachy Keen to be often called the go-to place for quality music that is engages children,’ Paul told The Courier Mail on Sunday. 

‘We wish our music to face out from the pack,’ he later added. 

Paul parted ways with kid’s entertainment group The Wiggles in March 2020 after 24 years.

He explained: ‘There had been plenty of changes at The Wiggles, and I might have been there without end, but I felt I’d kicked all of the goals they usually were all safely in a latest era.’

The Wiggles confirmed to Day by day Mail Australia that Paul left because the business is ‘going through a period of organisational change’.

‘The Wiggles thank Paul for twenty-four years of service and for his leadership and dedication during that point. The Wiggles wish Paul all the very best in his future endeavours,’ the statement read.

‘The business is currently going through a period of organisational change and is looking for latest leadership to steer the business through the present environment and to explore latest opportunities within the ever-changing entertainment landscape.’

Paul’s brother Blue Wiggle, Anthony, joined the group in 1979 alongside retired members Murray Cook, Greg Page and Jeff Fatt.

The trio were replaced by ‘Yellow Wiggle’ Emma Watkins, who left the group in October last yr, ‘Purple Wiggle’ Lachlan Gillespie and ‘Red Wiggle’ Simon Pryce.
