George Clooney and wife Amal have a good time their eighth wedding anniversary with a Recent York date night

George Clooney and wife Amal Clooney looked ever in love while celebrating their eighth wedding anniversary on Tuesday. 

The Ocean’s Eleven star, 61, looked dapper in a dark suit, while his famous attorney wife, 44, showed off her legs in a classy pleated zebra skirt and stiletto boots.

The couple – who wed in 2014 – reportedly attended a correspondents’ dinner with journalists Lesley Stahl and Gayle King on their special night.

The statuesque Amal accomplished her outfit with a sensible black turtleneck and matched her skirt with a zebra clutch.

The glamorous human rights lawyer wore her voluminous chocolate locks cascading down her shoulders and back. 

As for glam, the Lebanese-British beauty opted for black eyeliner and a red lipstick on her pout.

Ever the gentleman, the Hollywood heartthrob held his wife’s hand and placed one other steadying hand on her back as he helped her navigate the streets in her high heels.

The outing comes after George gushed over his ‘magical wife’ Amal as they were seen attending the History Talks event together on Saturday. 

Talking to Entertainment Tonight about their relationship, George said there’s ‘no downside’ in terms of being married to Amal.

He said: ‘Eight years! They usually said it would not last. Every little thing about my wife is kind of magical, as I believe everybody has come to appreciate as they see her and listen to her and listen to what she stands for. There’s just no downside to her!’  

The Gravity star was also asked in regards to the ‘moral code’ he and his wife hope to instill of their five-year-old twins Alexander and Ella.

He said: ‘The identical thing I believe everybody desires to instill of their kids, really. Which is to concentrate to other people. In my family, the principles were at all times “Challenge individuals with power, defend individuals with less power.” And when you can do this, you have had life.’

George and Amal were introduced in 2013 by mutual friends.

The actor explained during a previous appearance on David Letterman’s Netflix show, My Next Guest Needs No Introduction, in regards to the day he first met his future wife. ‘It is the wildest thing. A mutual friend of ours said, “I’m stopping by and may I bring my friend?”‘

‘And I used to be like, “In fact.” I got a call from my agent who called me and said, “I met this woman who’s coming to your own home who you are gonna marry,”‘ the actor added.

Upon crossing paths, sparks immediately flew. One 12 months later, George got down on one knee and proposed.

When reflecting on the special night, the star told The Hollywood Reporter that Amal was utterly surprised and it took her just a few moments to reply.

‘She just kept looking at the ring, going, “Oh, my God.” It was 20 minutes of me on my knee, waiting for her to say yes, because she was so shocked.’

They got their marriage license in London on August 7, 2014 and tied the knot at a lavish ceremony in Venice in 2014. Following the marriage they had a final civil ceremony on September 29 at Ca’Farsetti, Venice’s town hall.

The couple went on to welcome their twins Ella and Alexander in June 2017.
