Karl-Anthony Towns honored with 2nd All-NBA third-team selection

Published:

Minnesota Timberwolves center Karl-Anthony Towns has been within the NBA for seven seasons. Over that point, he has gone from being chosen as the primary overall pick within the 2015 NBA draft from the University of Kentucky to being voted into the All-NBA Third Team for the second time in his profession. That is really a rare accomplishment for such a young player.

Towns, a.k.a. because the Big KAT, is now eligible to sign a rewarding “supermax” extension that will take effect when his current deal expires in two seasons, a deal that’s well well worth the price for an All-Star Center.

Big KAT was one among the important components of the Timberwolves’ success this season. He averaged 24.6 points, 9.8 rebounds, and three.6 assists over 74 games within the 2021-22 NBA season. Surprisingly, lots of those numbers have fallen below what he has completed up to now two seasons. And his 9.8 rebounds are lower than his profession average.

The Timberwolves finished the regular season with a record of 46-36, ok to be the seventh seed within the Western Conference.

12 months 7 ..because of my team and the fans. Hungrier than ever. Best is yet to return.

The 2021-22 Minnesota Timberwolves were impressive in several ways. Not only did the team earn a playoff berth within the NBA Playoffs, but they defeated the Los Angeles Clippers 109-104 within the Play-in Tournament. The team had a drawn to a 2-2 series and gave the impression to be well on the technique to winning their third and decisive victory, but ultimately lost game five and fell to a playoff-ready Memphis Grizzlies team in the primary round.
