Kourtney Kardashian, 43, reveals the highest five yoga moves

Kourtney Kardashian has managed to remain in great shape at the same time as she settles into her forties.

And on Tuesday the 43-year-old wife of Travis Barker shared on her website POOSH what a few of her favorite yoga moves are to remain slim – they include the kid’s pose, the cat pose and the puppy pose, amongst others. 

Seems the kid’s pose is one among her favorites for helping with digestion. ‘Yoga helps for creating space within the body to assist promote the movement of food through the digestive tract,’ it read on her site.

‘It might probably stimulate the digestive tract through gentle abdominal pressure,’ it was added.

‘Perhaps most significantly, through relaxing the body, helping us move further away from the body’s stress response and towards the body’s parasympathetic “rest and digest” state. When stressed, the body slows digestion to redirect energy towards the perceived threat ahead of us.’

She then suggested moves. 

The primary one was the kid’s pose: ‘Sit in your shins together with your feet and knees together. Fold your upper body over your legs together with your brow coming towards the bottom or a block. Let your arms rest back towards your feet. Hold for 10 breaths. Why: Gently compress the abdominals.’

Next was the cat pose: ‘Begin in a table top position on all fours, shoulders over wrists and hips over knees. As you inhale, arch the spine by dropping the belly down while the tailbone, chest, and chin lift. As you exhale, round through the spine pressing the bottom away from you and tucking the chin to the chest. Complete 10 rounds.’

This helps to softly lengthen and compress the abdominal organs.

She also really useful the puppy pose.

‘From the tabletop position, keep the hips over the knees and walk the hands forward, so the top and chest move towards the bottom (or place the top on a block/rolled-up blanket). Hold for 10 breaths. Why: Stretch the belly.’

After which there was the sphinx pose.

‘Lay down in your belly, and prop yourself up in your forearms together with your elbows underneath your shoulders and the forearms parallel.

‘Press down with the tops of each feet to bring energy to the legs. Do the identical with the forearms to elongate the neck out of the shoulders. Hold for 10 breaths. Why: Concurrently lengthen and compress the abdominal organs.’

There was also the reclined twist and wind relieving pose.
