Authorities in Las Vegas are investigating after a fan at a game Sunday between the Arizona Cardinals and the Las Vegas Raiders allegedly hit an NFL player.
Within the chaos following the Cardinals’ fumble return for a touchdown to win the sport, video shot by CNN affiliate KPNX sports anchor Cameron Cox appears to indicate a spectator strike Arizona quarterback Kyler Murray in the pinnacle as Murray celebrated with onlookers within the stands.
Murray then appears to try to confront the person but is restrained by his teammates.
It’s unclear whether the person intended to make contact with Murray in that manner, because it was a busy scene within the endzone with many individuals reaching out to try to the touch Murray.
Now police are looking into “a battery call alleging a spectator on the stadium struck knowledgeable football player,” a spokesperson for Las Vegas police told CNN.
A criminal offense report has been conducted and an investigation is underway. The suspect has not been identified, in line with police.

Murray is in his fourth season within the NFL . He’s been voted to the Pro Bowl prior to now two seasons and was named NFL Offensive Rookie of the 12 months in 2019.
He has developed into one of the dynamic quarterbacks within the league. In his three seasons within the NFL, he’s thrown for 11,480 yards and 70 touchdowns in addition to running for 1,786 yards and 20 touchdowns.
