Firmino’s goal for Liverpool got here just days after he was honoured with a personal farewell event at Anfield, which was attended by Jurgen Klopp and his Reds team-mates alongside a few of their families and youngsters. Klopp even took to the stage to underline his admiration for Firmino and need him well for the following stage of his profession, with the likes of Real Madrid and Barcelona having been linked along with his signature over the previous few weeks.

In a video clip posted to Twitter, the Liverpool boss tells Firmino: “You’re so football smart, in training sessions you might be the primary to get [understand] the exercise.
