MAFS: Domenica Calarco sets the record straight on ‘nude photo scandal’

Published:

Married At First Sight star Domenica Calarco has spoken out about her ‘nude photo scandal’ that is the topic of an ongoing NSW Police investigation.

The Sydney-based makeup artist, 28, appeared to verify on Thursday that the photo on the centre of the controversy was sourced from Twitter and not from behind an OnlyFans paywall, which led to questions over why the matter was being investigated by police.

Taking to Instagram on Friday, Domenica clarified that the origin of the photo was not relevant to the case, and the explanation why she made a criticism to police was due to ‘what that image was used for and the way it caused me pain and hurt’.

Setting the record straight: Married At First Sight star Domenica Calarco has spoken out about her ‘nude photo scandal’ that’s the subject of an ongoing NSW Police investigation

‘That’s the difficulty here,’ she said in a video shared to her Stories.

‘It will not be where the image got here from and sourcing the image off the web. That has been handled [by] the image abuse commission.

‘The difficulty that I actually have at once is the explanation that the image was taken off the web and the way it was used with the intent to cause me harm.’

Domenica confirmed the police probe was ongoing and that the investigation had not been affected by her saying the photo could have been sourced from Twitter.

She also said she had never specified the image in query was from OnlyFans, only that it ‘got here off the web’.

It comes after Domenica told Yahoo on Thursday that her OnlyFans was not even energetic on the time Married At First Sight was being filmed, so the one way anyone could have accessed her racy photos was via links on Twitter or Reddit.

‘If you happen to clicked the link [to my OnlyFans] you’ll’ve seen that it wasn’t energetic and it might have taken you nowhere,’ she told the web site.

‘It was all left online because, yeah, it was a link on a Twitter account or a Reddit account. Big deal.’

Domenica’s Twitter account, launched in November 2020 with the handle @Sunday09692571, featured ‘teasers’ of her saucy OnlyFans content – including the nude photo that was exposed on MAFS during filming last 12 months.

She reportedly deactivated her OnlyFans profile when MAFS producers asked her to, but rival bride Olivia Frazer was capable of find the Twitter account.

A source claimed Olivia was attempting to dig up dirt on Dom when she discovered her OnlyFans past, and saw it as a solution to embarrass her rival.

‘Olivia hit the jackpot when she came upon Dom had actively promoted her OnlyFans profile on YouTube, and even had a Twitter page dedicated to it,’ they said.

After reportedly being discouraged from taking legal motion against Olivia and the opposite MAFS forged members while filming was going down last 12 months, Domenica called within the lawyers in March because the scandal unfolded on TV.

She was pictured together with her lawyer arriving at Newtown police station where it was believed she spent nearly three hours talking to officers about her leaked nudes.

A NSW Police spokesperson told Each day Mail Australia on Thursday the investigation into the distribution of the intimate image was ongoing.

Radio host Kyle Sandilands has previously forged doubt on claims the ‘nude photo scandal’ was someway a criminal act.

He said in March that Channel Nine ‘has a team of lawyers’ who ensure every thing that goes to air is legally sound, making the police criticism a waste of time.
