Man Utd news: Paul Scholes ‘goes full Roy Keane’ as he plays down Omonia keeper’s heroics | Football | Sport

Published:

Comparisons were quickly drawn between Scholes and his former United team-mate Keane, who’s continuously seen shelling out hard-hitting football opinions. On Twitter, United fan @knaggsy097 wrote: “Scholes channelling his inner Roy Keane [laughing emojis].” Meanwhile, @YusufMudhoo added: “Scholes going full on Roy Keane over goalkeepers.”

Three beneficial points move United closer to Real Sociedad in Group E, with just two matches remaining. The Spanish outfit have already clinched a 1-0 victory from Old Trafford and the return fixture is last up on the Red Devils’ list.

After Thursday’s win over Omonia, McTominay talked up his side’s ‘cohesion’ and, contrary to Scholes, showered praise on the opposing goalkeeper.
