Man Utd takeover: Glazer family gesture speaks volumes after FA Cup final appearance | Football | Sport

Manchester United co-owner Avram Glazer was in attendance to observe their FA Cup final defeat by the hands of Manchester City as supporters proceed to attend patiently for news over the club’s potential takeover. The American supremo sat within the director’s box at Wembley and was seen shaking hands together with his City counterpart Khaldoon Al-Mubarak and smiling after the sport, which could prove to be ominous for United fans hoping for brand new owners to be installed.

The United co-chairman was seen sat next to former club director David Gill as he took within the motion. After the match, Erik ten Hag shook the hand of the American businessman as they went up to gather their runners-up medals after a narrow defeat at Wembley.

Glazer was snapped by photographers smiling and laughing as he watched on, and with Sir Jim Ratcliffe’s bid including the opportunity of the Glazers remaining on the club in some capability even after the takeover, it would spell bad news for individuals who want them out.

As well as, the Glazer family ‘left Wembley without commenting’ on the club’s takeover situation, leaving United fans in limbo over again because the battle to take control of the club between Sheikh Jassim and Ratcliffe rumbles on.
