Manchester United goal Victor Osimhen has been in comparison with Didier Drogba by Jose Mourinho, who has sent a warning to the Nigerian striker if he moves to the Premier League.
Osimhen scored in Napoli’s 2-1 win over Mourinho’s Roma on Sunday to succeed in 15 goals within the Serie A this season. The 23-year-old has been heavily linked with a £120m move to Old Trafford in the summertime as Erik ten Hag wants a recent striker.
And while Mourinho, 60, says he would buy Osimhen if he had the cash, the Portuguese coach warned must stop diving if he wants to move to the Premier League in the longer term.
“He’s of the identical level as Drogba, but Didier didn’t dive. If Victor changes, then OK. I’d buy him if I used to be at a club with numerous money,” Mourinho told reporters, as quoted by The Sun.
“Nonetheless, if he does go to England someday, he needs to alter, because in Italy they put up with this type of behaviour, whereas within the Premier League, they’d come down hard on him.”
