NBA player Thomas Bryant to host basketball camp in Henrietta

HENRIETTA, N.Y. An expert basketball player shall be on the town this weekend for a youth basketball camp.

Los Angeles Lakers Center Thomas Bryant is hosting the camp on the Hoops Strength facility in Henrietta. Bryant can also be a Rochester native. He played highschool basketball at Bishop Kearney before happening to play college ball at Indiana University.

“I feel like guys which can be in my position should at all times give back… at all times give back to your community, at all times give back to the youngsters,” Bryant said. “I remember once I was younger and went to basketball camps. … I remember going to the Rochester RazorSharks Camp here.”

“For me to return back and check out and hopefully a child or an individual gets inspired by what I’m doing,” Bryant continued. “And if I can touch one person and it changes their lives then all of these items isn’t as a right.”

The camp is split into three, two-hour sessions. Fourth graders all the best way as much as high schoolers will get a once in a lifetime likelihood to learn from an NBA skilled.
