Neigh not possible! Mind-bending video appears to indicate horses floating on water along Arizona river

  • Kelli Rogers had been paddleboarding on the Salt River in Tonto National Forest
  • She spotted the 2 majestic beasts while along with her excited grandkids
  • Within the clip, the horses seem like floating or standing on a raft above the water

That is the mind-bending moment two majestic wild horses appeared to walk on water in Arizona, as an optical illusion saw them ‘float’ down a river in front of stunned locals.

Kelli Rogers had been paddle boarding on the Salt River in Tonto National Forest, Arizona, spending last month along with her excited grandkids after they noticed the 2 horses.

The 58-year-old was left speechless when she saw the horses appearing to drift on the water.

Within the clip, the horses seem like standing on a raft on the surface of the water because the scenery moves by behind them – but in reality, they’re standing in shallower water than the person filming them while paddle boarding past.

But the horses soon trot away, breaking the illusion that they were the ones floating

Within the clip, the horses seem like standing on the surface of the water because the scenery moves by behind them, but as they trot away,  they break the illusion, revealing they’re merely standing in shallow water

It looks like they were nearer to Kelli and her children than the scenery behind them, giving the impression they were moving when in reality they were staying still.

Kelli said: ‘It was crazy. It wasn’t until I got home and checked out the video that I used to be like “oh, they appear like they’re floating”.

She added: ‘It was certainly one of those moments where they were stood completely still in a number of inches of water. As we passed by, they didn’t move. They simply don’t stand still like that usually.’

Other social media viewers joked in regards to the illusion, suggesting Jack and Rose from the Titanic must have fit on the door together if two horses could fit on a raft.

‘Okay start over; in the event that they fit, Jack totally had enough room! Rose needed to maneuver over,’ said one commenter.

One other TikToker said: ‘I believed my eyes were deceiving me…until I noticed you might be the one happening stream…what a capture… just beautiful.’
