Elliot Anderson seems to have worked his way into Eddie Howe’s plans for the upcoming Premier League campaign.
In line with Luke Edwards of The Telegraph, Eddie Howe is assumed to have opted within the ‘final few days’ to maintain the 19-year-old on Tyneside.
Many Championship and Scottish clubs have expressed strong interest in him, and lots of thought he can be loaned away, but after a powerful summer with our senior squad, it appears they shall be upset.
Howe appreciates that he can operate as a “No. 8” in a midfield three or out wide, and it seems that our inability to sign a recent winger had a task on this selection.
To emphasize how much he’s impressed over the previous couple of weeks, Edwards maintains that he WILL stay on Tyneside ahead of the forthcoming season, even when just a few recent attackers arrive.
Staff members have labelled Anderson the most important Academy talent we’ve produced in “over a decade,” and he began last night’s 3-2 loss to Benfica.
