San Francisco 49ers quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo comes off as a pleasant guy – perhaps too nice. An NFL analyst thinks it is time for him to “ditch” the act.

There is a belief on the market that Garoppolo is willing to drift, irrespective of the situation. Well, the situation he currently faces is considered one of the 49ers wanting to trade him and move ahead with second-year quarterback Trey Lance.

Nonetheless, he’s still on the 49ers’ roster. And there is now a fairly clear understanding the NFC West franchise is willing to attend until a team gets eager to make a move, no matter the actual fact they’ll be dragging Garoppolo along for the long haul.

Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk thinks it is time for Garoppolo to “ditch the nice-guy routine” and get serious about his future.

“Some keep pushing the concept that nice-guy Jimmy Garoppolo will go together with regardless of the 49ers decide to do with him. Within the NFL, nonetheless, nice guys finish SOL,” he tweeted.

Perhaps Jimmy Garoppolo knows something we do not?

There have been reports floating around on the market suggesting the Niners aren’t exactly pleased with Lance. It may very well be why they’ve yet to make a choice on Garoppolo.

The almost definitely result here is the 49ers wait until training camp to make a choice.

Garoppolo, within the meantime, should probably grow to be a bit more vocal about his situation.
