NFL Network snubbing Aaron Donald draws ire from unexpected places

Published:

Players, coaches, and administrative staff will likely be the primary to inform you that the LA Rams are a really close NFL organization. The players, coaches, and even the front office staff not only cooperate, communicate, and collaborate at a level often unseen at other NFL organizations, but everyone genuinely likes and appreciates each other.

There’s a reason why the LA Rams fanbase has adopted the term Ramily to explain themselves. Very similar to the team these fans support, it’s a bond that is bigger than you would possibly expect. And that bond surfaces when one among their very own is snubbed or threatened.

Fans draw their example from the team, and the team is powered on this front by the coaching staff. The Rams coaching staff aren’t just some of the most effective within the NFL, but also they are among the nicest and most approachable coaches as well. But in terms of turning water into wine, you must look no further than  LA Rams defensive run coordinator and line of defense coach Eric Henderson.

Each season, Coach Henny welcomes talented but raw NFL hopefuls and coaches them up into among the most efficient NFL players around. He’s fiercely demanding of his players but in a troublesome love type of way. He can also be fiercely defensive of his group.

The newest example of that occured when the NFL Network released its NFL Top 100 list:

Countdown complete! 💯

Voted on by the players, listed here are your top 10 players within the 2022 #NFLTop100. pic.twitter.com/T8qhnKbY3s

Almost shockingly, the list didn’t name Aaron Donald because the Top NFL player. As an alternative, it was the is-he-retired-or-isn’t-he quarterback from the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Tom Brady.  While I won’t argue that a player at Brady’s age starting as an NFL quarterback isn’t a venerable achievement, there may be a far cry from a man who’s routinely facing overwhelming odds to get to the quarterback, and yet continues to accomplish that.

Coach Henderson incensed response

That shocking decision led to this:

See now I’m pissed @nflnetwork you may’t be serious, this was a simple one to get right and you only drop the ball. Wow! How is that even possible🤷🏾‍♂️

Ha, as if we’d like more motivation @AaronDonald97 #DAWGWORK🐕

But Coach Henderson isn’t the one member of the LA Rams organization that noticed that glaring sleight. The LA Rams Twitter account also noticed, and was quick to comment as well:

YEAH SO HES RANKED NUMBER TWO IN THE TOP 100 DESPITE MAKING TWO PLAYS THAT SEALED A TRIP TO THE SUPER BOWL AND TO WIN THE SUPER BOWL NOT TO MENTION SINCE 2014 HE LEADS THE LEAGUE IN QB PRESSURES AND SACKS I MEAN AN ABSOLUTE UNIT UNSTOPPABLE HES THE GOAT pic.twitter.com/eOwNT7OoUv

The proven fact that Aaron Donald got here in at second on any NFL list after the tremendous season he had just accomplished in 2021 is mind-blowing. However the proven fact that he is available in as a runner-up to a player who was not even certain about playing in 2022 is a little more than surprising.

The LA Rams just renegotiated Aaron Donald’s contract to compensate him at the extent at which he plays. The last time that happened, in 2018, he proceeded to place up arguably the most effective NFL season of his profession. Now, he not only has a brand recent contract that ensures his financial security to motivate him, but he has this latest rating to offer him a special motivation to play with a chip on his shoulder.

Look out NFL quarterbacks. Here comes LA Rams Aaron Donald, and I don’t think he’s in a excellent mood.
