Nottingham Forest hoping to sign £9m player on loan

Nottingham Forest will not be taking their EPL return this season as a right, and by their latest moves, they won’t allow any likelihood to return to the championship soon.

Steve Cooper’s side has already signed 10 recent players this season, amongst them Lingard and Dean Henderson. Now, reports making the rounds are that the newly promoted EPL side have their sights on one other left-back.

Things haven’t been as smooth as Steve Cooper would have wanted with Real Betis’ Moreno, so he (Cooper) has a recent name as a substitute if negotiations with Betis are hopeless.

In keeping with Portuguese sources (O Jogo specifically), Nottingham could go for Sporting Lisbon’s recent signing, Reuben Vinagre, whom he’s willing to release on loan.

The previous Portugal U-21 international has been on loan duties for essentially the most a part of his Wolverhampton 4-year profession and can make an EPL return after two years if Forest manage to sign him.

O Jogo reveals that the Primera champions want Forest to pay a part of the defender’s salary on top of the 1 million euro loan fee, which the English side is seemingly willing to pay.

His (Vinagre) minimal game time in Lisbon last season aside, the 23-year old isn’t just fast, but progressive, which is precisely what Forest have to contend with other top-flight teams.

No agreement has been reached thus far, but hopefully for Forest, Cooper will be as successful in pulling Vinagre in as he has been with various talents this summer.
