Flying from London to Latest York in 80 minutes could turn out to be a reality in the long run with jaw-dropping ideas for a latest supersonic nuclear-powered plane.

The Hyper Sting concept has been dreamt up by Spanish designer Oscar Viñals who has said that in years to come back it could fly 170 passengers at greater than thrice the speed of sound, or 2,486mph – nearly twice that of Concorde.

A ‘cold fusion nuclear reactor’ is a theoretical concept for the time being, but he explained that this modern system would enable a Mach 3.5 capability, which might power two ramjet engines and 4 next gen hybrid turbojets.

Mr Viñals explained: ‘Concorde was a superb piece of machinery, a noble experiment, however it put an excessive amount of emissions within the environment, an excessive amount of noise into our communities, and was too expensive to operate.

‘A latest era of supersonic flight is perhaps just across the corner, but there are challenges to beat in terms of flying faster than the speed of sound.

‘The Hyper Sting is a latest concept for future supersonic business airplanes.
