Phil Hay: There’s a possibility Leeds will complete deal for £32m midfielder

In keeping with Phil Hay, there’s a “high possibility” that Leeds will sign Tyler Adams from RB Leipzig this summer. Manchester City are expected to sign Kalvin Phillips.

The 26-year-old Phillips is about to depart Leeds, where he has been a player since he was a young player.

A medical is as a result of be conducted on Friday as a part of a transfer that’s anticipated to be value an initial £42 million plus a further $3 million.

Adams is considered one of the various names which were suggested as a possible alternative for Phillips.

In keeping with earlier reports from Fabrizio Romano, Leeds are desperate to secure Jesse Marsch’s third reunion this summer.

He has a £32 million release clause at Leipzig, in response to BILD, and Marsch coached him each there and on the Latest York Red Bulls. In keeping with what Hay said on his podcast, Adams might replace Phillips in Leeds.

“They’re recruiting players Marsch wants—Kristinsen, Aaronson.” You’ve seen the links to Tyler Adams, and there’s a good possibility of that one. That’s any individual else that Marsch knows extremely well. They’re backing him.”

On many levels, Adams could be a wonderful addition to Leeds. At age 23, he just needs six more games to achieve 200 senior club and country matches.

He is flexible, somewhat inexpensive at this point out there (a bit over £30 million), and he’s accustomed to Marsch. Moreover, Adams would pair up with Aaronson, considered one of his international teammates. It’s logical.

Leeds would also gain from the sale of Phillips, which might release money for them to speculate in other players, reminiscent of a striker or a alternative for Raphinha when the Brazilian inevitably leaves.
