Recent York’s breathtaking Central Park Tower is about to lose its crown because the world’s tallest residential constructing, with developers unveiling a ‘hypertower’ in Dubai they hope will surpass the Manhattan structure’s cloudscraping 1,550ft (472m) height.
The constructing, called Burj Binghatti Jacob & Co Residences, is a collaboration between Emirati property development company Binghatti and watchmaker Jacob & Co. In an announcement, they state that the aim is ‘to set a record as one among the tallest residential constructions on the planet’.
The Central Park Tower has 98 storeys – the plan is for ‘ultra-luxury’ Burj Binghatti Jacob & Co Residences to boast 100 of them. And it won’t just be the peak that’ll be eye-catching. Renderings show how the constructing will wear a ‘crown’ of diamond-shaped spires.

It’s promised that the constructing – which can ‘stand opulently in the guts of Dubai’s most outstanding financial district, Business Bay’ – will probably be glamorous on the within, too.
An announcement says: ‘The proposed design comprises over 100 storeys which might be product of lavish two-bedroom and three-bedroom residences.
‘This hypertower also houses a dedicated concierge team, offering a la carte services equivalent to daycare, bodyguard, chauffeur and personal chef.’
At the highest of Burj Binghatti Jacob & Co Residences, meanwhile, will probably be ‘five of essentially the most luxurious and exclusive penthouses in Dubai’.
Jacob Arabo, Chairman and Creative Director of Jacob & Co, said: ‘Floating on top of the world, they provide boundless views of the town’s skyline, including Downtown and the Dubai Water Canal.
‘Inspired from our high watchmaking collections, these penthouses will consist of three types, each named after our flagship Jacob & Co timepieces Fleurs De Jardin, Astronomia and Billionaire.
‘The inside design of the penthouse collection will probably be directly inspired by their unique aesthetics. As suggested by the name, the Billionaire Penthouse is the hypertower’s jewel within the crown.’
The tower can even be home to an ‘exclusive’ private club featuring ‘an intensive infinity pool’ and ‘vast’ lounge.

Muhammad Binghatti, CEO & Head of Architecture of Binghatti, said: ‘Each our brands are born from the sheer desire to realize what breaks boundaries.
‘What Binghatti has done in real estate, by making a brand through a definite design philosophy and architectural identity may be very much like what Jacob & Co has done on the planet of jewelry and horology.’
At present, no opening date for Burj Binghatti Jacob & Co Residences has been announced.
