#ProBison Update: NDSU within the NFL – Week 16

Rookie Brayden Thomas made his NFL debut, and quarterback Carson Wentz returned to motion, headlining the Week 16 slate for former North Dakota State football players within the NFL.
Thomas had spent his entire rookie season on the Los Angeles Rams’ practice squad before being activated to play of their Christmas Day game vs. Denver. The Bismarck, N.D., native logged 18 snaps for the Rams of their 51-14 blowout victory.
Wentz got here off the bench within the fourth quarter to finish 12-of-16 passes for 123 yards and one touchdown for Washington. He has since been named the Commanders’ starting quarterback for Week 17 vs. Cleveland.
Rookie receiver Christian Watson made a season-high six receptions – all in the primary half – for Green Bay, and offensive linemen Cordell Volson and Billy Turner each earned starts and played every snap for his or her respective teams.
There are 14 former Bison football players currently on NFL rosters – 13 on energetic rosters and one on a practice squad.
