In line with BBC Sport, Real Madrid are “monitoring” the England international and Liverpool centre-back Joe Gomez.
This season, Gomez has been left on the bench by Jurgen Klopp, who has preferred to play each Matip and the club’s recent signing Ibrahima Konate.
The 24-year-old’s form has considerably been affected by injuries, the explanation why he was consistently unavailable in most of last season’s matches.
Gomez has greater than three years left on his cope with Liverpool. In line with the report, Real Madrid has not approached the Merseyside club regarding a transfer.
In line with BBC Sport, while Real Madrid is interested by signing Gomez and a centre back, the club believes it would be not possible to perform so within the January transfer window.
The Spanish club has also been linked with a summer move for Chelsea centre-back Antonio Rüdiger, who will develop into a free agent if he doesn’t sign a recent cope with the Blues.
