The performer was born in Kosovo to folks of Albanian descent before moving to London as a baby but she counts Tirana, the capital of Albania, as her home.
The worldwide superstar took to the stage in Skederbej Square in Tirana where she performed a 14-song free show in a moment that she described as ‘unforgettable’.
Rita looked every inch the pop star in a sparkling long-sleeved sheer black leotard, which was covered in glitzy sequin patterns.
She paired her racy ensemble with a pair of matching stockings and accomplished the eye-catching look with black heeled boots.

The Poison hitmaker showed off her sensational moves as she strutted across the stage and performed with an array of back-up dancers, while fireworks and flames lit up behind her.
At one point in her show, Rita was seen powerfully standing with one hand behind her back as she raised the Albanian flag proudly within the air.
Rita opened her set with 2019 song Ritual before ripping through a number of her biggest hits including Your Song and Hot Right Now and wrapping up with an encore consisting of Lonely Together and the chart-topping single Anywhere.

The incredible free concert was organised by Tirana’s Mayor Erion Veliaj to have a good time the capital city being named because the EU’s Youth Capital for 2022.
Speaking concerning the concert – and earlier being awarded a prestigious award by the Albanian president, Rita said she is going to ‘always remember’ the show in her parents’ home country.
During her trip, Rita was awarded the Naim Frashëri order by the President of Albania, Mr Bajram Begaj.
She said: ‘There are some things in life you always remember, this trip will likely be considered one of them. Today has been an unreal day.
‘I had the good honour of being awarded the Naim Frashëri order by the President of Albania, Mr Bajram Begaj.

Rita was born in Pristina, Kosovo, but is of Albanian descent and moved to London together with her parents as a baby once they sought refuge within the UK.
The Body On Me hitmaker has various ties to Tirana, which she counts as home alongside Pristina and London, and celebrating the capital city being named as EU’s Youth Capital may be very near her heart.
Earlier within the trip, Rita was given the Naim Frashëri decoration, an award given to Albanians within the fields of science, art, culture and education for his or her invaluable works and activities.
She visited the presidential palace, the Pallati i Brigatave, together with her father Nick to receive her honour from Albanian President Bajram Begaj on Monday.
Rita stood on the front of the room behind a podium to provide a brief speech during her visit.
Rita kept her 16.1million Instagram followers updated because the events unfolded through out the day, explaining how ‘grateful she was to be in Albania’.
Beside her recent post, she penned: ‘Yesterday I landed in Albania for a visit that’s so near my heart and means a lot to me. Tirana are celebrating being voted Youth Capital of Europe 2022!
‘We began the day by visiting Liceu Jordan Misja school of music and finished it by having dinner with Mayor Erion Veliaj on the town hall. It’s going to be an incredible few days and I’m looking forward to sharing this journey with you.’
