Sally Dynevor has opened up about how she is coping with menopause, admitting that exercise has been instrumental in helping her symptoms.

Candid: Sally Dynevor, 58, has recently revealed how she is coping with menopause naturally – admitting she feels ‘safer in myself’ than ever

The star explained that on account of her previous breast cancer, HRT was not an advised option for her – so natural methods were a must for tackling menopause.

‘Exercise has really helped with the menopause. Because I had an oestrogen-fed breast cancer and I’m on a preventative drug called tamoxifen, which I’ll take for so long as I can, I used to be advised to not take HRT.

‘So I’ve had to search out other ways to deal with menopause symptoms. Running and swimming specifically have been great,’ she shared.

Sally is on the preventative drug after battling breast cancer back in 2010, and has made a full recovery now.

However the natural remedies appear to be working a treat – because the star says that hitting menopause and appearing on Dancing on Ice earlier within the 12 months has given her a latest lease of life.

She shared: ‘I feel safer in myself than I did 10, and even 20 years ago. Hitting the menopause hasn’t made me need to retire – it’s the alternative!

‘As you become old, you’ll be able to lose confidence since you begin to feel a bit of bit invisible, but doing Dancing On Ice reaffirmed what I must have been feeling all along – getting older doesn’t mean I actually have to lose my sparkle. I hope I’ve inspired other women my age to try latest things, too.’
