Each week of the 2022 NFL season, the Next Gen Stats analytics team will present a distinct Position Power Rating meant to highlight the highest performances amongst a particular group of players. This week, we have assembled a listing of the highest 10 edge rushers heading into Week 14.
Before we dive in, though, a note on our methodology: To assist create quantifiable rankings, we now have devised a formula that yields a Next Gen Stats percentile rating, which measures how a player is performing relative to his peers. The formula uses each individual’s percentile rating across a series of key metrics to create one composite rating, indicating which players at that position performed best. We’ll lean on this formula to tell our rankings when applicable.
