Simone Callahan posts heartbreaking video montage of her ex-husband Shane Warne with pictures of them in happier times on what would have been cricket great’s 53rd birthday

Shane Warne’s ex-wife Simone Callahan posted a touching video montage on Tuesday to rejoice what would have been his 53rd birthday.

The cricket legend tragically died while on holiday in Thailand on March 4. 

The heartbreaking clip featured home movie scenes of their family life as well of loved-up photos of the pair taken in happier times. 

Shane Warne’s ex-wife Simone Callahan posted a touching video montage on Tuesday to rejoice what would have been his 53rd birthday 

The couple share three children –  Brooke, 24, Jackson, 23, and Summer, 20. 

Shane and Simone tied the knot in 1999 and were married for six years before divorcing in 2005.

Using Coldplay’s song Everglow because the soundtrack, the video celebrates Shane as a doting father.

Scenes featured within the poignant clip include a completely happy looking Shane twiddling with his kids while they were still toddlers.

One precious moment shows the legendary spin bowler helping Jackson and Summer feed some wild pigeons.

Simone also included photos of a family vacation to Disneyland

One other touching scene shows Shane pushing his son Jackson in a miniature kid’s swing.

The clip ends with an image of Shane’s dog gazing sadly on the cricket great’s distinctive wide-brimmed hat.

Olympic swimming great Lisa Curry was amongst many who sent Simone and her children love.

‘Like to you and the family, completely happy birthday Shane,’ she messaged, signing her post with three kisses.

Members of Shane’s family gained access to his Instagram account on Tuesday, which had been dormant since his death to post their very own tribute.

The Warne’s posted six frames on the grid to form a famous image of Shane taking a bow during a cricket match, alongside the easy caption: ‘1969-2022.’ 

The family wrote: ‘A legacy gives you a perspective on what’s vital. It’s concerning the richness of a person’s life, including what they completed and the impact they’d on people and places. Shane’s legacy will continue to exist.’

The message concluded: ‘Pleased birthday – at all times in our hearts.’
