Stranger Things adds warning card to Season 4 premiere in wake of deadly school shooting in Texas

Within the wake of Tuesday’s deadly shooting at an elementary school in Texas, Netflix has decided so as to add a warning card to the upcoming latest season of Stranger Things.

The warning will appear before the prior season recap that auto-plays firstly of Stranger Things 4 Episode 1 for viewers within the U.S, only, Variety reports.

It reads: ‘We filmed this season of “Stranger Things” a 12 months ago. But given the recent tragic shooting at a faculty in Texas, viewers may find the opening scene of episode 1 distressing. We’re deeply saddened by this unspeakable violence, and our hearts exit to each family mourning a loved one.’

Recent warnings have also been included into the description for the premiere. 

‘Warning: Comprises graphic violence involving children,’ a note now reads, together with ‘disturbing images’ to the show rating advisories.

As a part of the promotional push, fans of the science fiction horror drama series got a sneak peak at the primary eight minutes of episode one on Friday, which got here one week before the season 4 debut.

The opening scene depicts a bloody massacre that involves Eleven, a young girl with telepathic and psychokinetic abilities played by Millie Bobby Brown, and shows the dead bodies of several children covered in blood.

Texas Governor Greg Abbott revealed the accused gunman within the Texas shooting, Salvador Ramos, shot his grandmother within the face and sent cryptic online messages moments before he went on his deadly rampage at Robb Elementary in Uvalde, Texas.

It appears the 18-year-old didn’t have any ‘known mental health history,’ or any form of criminal record either.

Investigators say Ramos was armed with an AR-15-style rifle and handgun when he drove towards the college, but crashed right into a ditch nearby.

After firing shots outside the college for roughly 12 minutes, Ramos entered the constructing without experiencing any form of armed resistance from law enforcement.

Ramos would eventually lock himself inside a classroom, where he killed 19 children, two teachers, and wounded 17 others before being shot and killed by a U.S. Border Patrol agent.
