It wouldn’t be a Taylor Swift album release with out a grand entrance.
The 11-time Grammy winner’s hotly-anticipated tenth studio album, “Midnights,” dropped Thursday night, nevertheless it wasn’t without its fair proportion of chaos.
Tens of millions of so-called “Swifties” stayed up until midnight to listen to the record, but fans were left scrambling after streaming giant Spotify crashed just because the album was released as users reported web outage despite there being web available.
In response to Downdetector.com, Spotify saw a large outage the world over at midnight ET — the precise time Swift’s album was released.
Fans expressed their frustration on the glitch, with many being left upset they weren’t able to instantly hear the singer’s 13 recent tracks.

“Spotify crashed following the discharge of Taylor Swift’s recent album #TSmidnighTS,” wrote one account alongside a screenshot of the app saying “something went improper.”
“YALL DONE BROKE SPOTIFY. #MidnightsTaylorSwift,” one other tweeted.
A 3rd wrote, “Spotify literally broke for like a minute!!! I used to be in panic mode,” before a fourth posted the app’s error message, tweeting, “Really @Spotify? On an evening like this? I’m fuming #TSmidnightTS.”

Luckily, the connectivity issues were short-lived.

The apparent outage appeared to last only a brief moment, much to the delight of die-hard Swift fans.
Fans also got greater than what they bargained for within the early hours of Friday morning after Swift’s “Midnights (3am Edition)” was unleashed on the platform.
The special edition of the album boasts seven extra tracks.
