The Midwich Cuckoos: The primary differences between Sky drama and book | TV & Radio | Showbiz & TV

When chatting with Express.co.uk, author David Farr explained that a significant difference between the show and the novel is that the previous comes more from a female perspective.

“It became really clear to me after I began to adapt it that there is a big shift needed for a contemporary audience”, Farr said.

“The story is essentially about women getting pregnant and yet, someway, it is so male as a book.

“So a giant shift across from the male to the feminine began and, me being the author is a bit weird in fact, so female writers got here on board.”
