EXCLUSIVE: The Voice Australia’s Lara D reveals which singing superstar follows her on Instagram as she signs with major record label
She was thrust into the highlight in 2019 when she appeared on Team Kelly on The Voice Australia.
And now almost three years later, Lara Dabbagh, now professionally often called Lara D, resides her dream after landing a take care of Sony Music Australia.
‘I have been signed to Sony for 2 years now, and just released my EP. It’s really exciting,’ she told Each day Mail Australia.

After signing with the Sydney-based label, Lara traveled to LA where she hung out with renowned producers and songwriters including Diane Warren and Rodney Jerkins.
‘The primary time I met Diane, we listened to some songs that she wrote… and I got within the studio the following day to attempt to make it my very own,’ Lara recalled.
‘I will be holding onto that until I’m able to release my album.’

‘I feel like my life is about out for me the way in which it’s. I come from a really cultural background being half Middle Eastern and half Moroccan, singing has all the time been what I desired to do, there’s been no plan B.’
‘I’ve had so many like amazing people tell me that I’m one among the type, that I’ve got a really special tone, and what I create is so different from what they’ve heard,’ she said.

‘I feel like that feedback helps me stay motivated… that and Alicia Keys is following me on Instagram,’ she laughed.
‘I began crying. She was the primary artist I saw in concert, so it was a giant thing for me.’
