Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has suggested that the club are actively working on signing a midfielder before the September 1 transfer deadline.
However the German has insisted it should be the fitting player under the fitting circumstances if the Reds are to maneuver for reinforcements.
He told reporters: “You may imagine, we are literally working consistently on these form of things but there are the explanation why sometimes they do not occur. Sometimes it is simply too expensive, sometimes it isn’t the fitting player.
“Then, the situation changes, but one thing that stays really essential is that it must be the fitting player.
“Some players are only unavailable, that is the way it is, but when we will do something, and if we’ll do something, then we’re 100 per cent convinced about it. If we will not be convinced, then we is not going to do it. That is the situation.”
