Trump Likely To Announce Run Soon Because He’s A ‘Freaking Toddler,’ Says Ex-GOP Official

Donald Trump may soon announce he’ll run for the presidency because he’s having a fit in regards to the dirt revealed about him in Jan. 6 hearings, and since he has “all of the impulse control of a freaking toddler,” a former GOP official scoffed Saturday.

“At the top of the day, he’s going to do whatever he wants. He’s shown that point and time again,” Kurt Bardella, a former deputy communications director for the GOP-controlled House Oversight and Government Reform Committee, told MSNBC. (He’s now a Democrat and news commentator.)

“This guy has the impulse control of a freaking toddler. So no person must be surprised about that in any respect. I believe that Republicans, yeah, that is the golem they created,” Bardella added.

Bardella was responding to a Recent York Times story Friday that Trump is hoping a stepped-up announcement about going for the presidency — yet again — will distract the general public from a “stream of damaging revelations,” and will declare he’s entering the race as early as this month.

“Everyone knows from past experiences Donald Trump doesn’t care about anybody else but Donald Trump,” Bardella told MSNBC host Alex Witt. “So it doesn’t surprise me that when faced with the criticism that’s been mounting immediately, following the January sixth hearings, that he’s occupied with pulling the trigger now.”

That timing will likely “break” things for the Republicans ahead of the midterms as more negative testimony taints the candidate, said Bardella. However it’s what Republicans deserve for tying their future to Trump, he said.

“You already know what, Donald?” Bardella said. “Go on the market, show everybody who you might be, what you must do, implode the Republican Party before November.”

“These guys have desired to divorce themselves from Donald Trump for the last five years; they simply have lacked courage, the power, the center to really do it,” Bardella added. Behind the scenes “they’re rooting for the Jan. 6 committee.”

Bardella claimed that “no person was was more excited” in regards to the powerful testimony early this week by Cassidy Hutchinson than “Republicans who wish to dispense with Donald Trump.”

Amongst her most damning revelations, Hutchinson, who was an aide to former White House chief of staff Mark Meadows, testified that Trump desired to drop screening for his supporters, who were known to be carrying weapons, and permit them to march to the Capitol Jan. 6, 2021. “They’re not here to harm me,” Hutchinson quoted Trump as saying.
