Wednesday night’s episode got off to a slow start, following on after Tom Clare ruffled feathers and matched up with Olivia Hawkins, leaving Will Young single and in danger.
But viewers were still not impressed, saying the brand new winter season seems ‘forced and scripted’.

Taking to Twitter as events unfolded, one viewer wrote: ‘Look Love Island will likely be boring throughout the first week but even the chat is DEAD. The producers should be struggling for content’.
One other chimed in: ‘All these couples have turn out to be far too attached to one another far too quickly and it’s boring’
Other viewers claimed that boring or not, they were still going to tune in.
Sharing their view that couples had turn out to be too comfortable and that scenes seemed forced, one other commented: ‘The usual of conversation on this Love Island is lover than usual, right? They’re all so boring.’
‘Ignoring all my responsibilities just to look at one other boring episode’, one user said.
In agreement, another person wrote: ‘One other boring episode tonight… am I still going to look at? yes’.
Love Island fans were equally unimpressed yesterday after Maya Jama, 28, was absent from the show’s second episode on Tuesday – declaring the series ‘boring’ without her.
While the singeltons battled it out of their first challenge, Maya jetted back to London before returning to South Africa later this week.
Taking to Twitter one fan bemoaned: ‘Where was Maya Jama tonight I missed her’.
One other wrote: ‘Can we’ve got a Love Island where there is no contestants, just an hour of Maya Jama being Maya Jama please’.
While a 3rd tweeted: ‘That is so boring, where’s Maya Jama’.
Fans of their droves asked where she was with one conjuring up his own alternative: ‘We’d like a plot twist where Maya Jama can in some way turn out to be a bombshell or something. We wanna see more’.
Maya took over hosting duties from Laura Whitmore and has turn out to be an fast hit with viewers.

Meanwhile, Love Island fans declared their love for Will Young on Wednesday after he was left single following bombshell Tom ‘stealing’ Olivia from him.
Despite being put in a vulnerable position, Will took the recoupling in his stride, telling Tom that he believed he and Olivia were a greater match.
And taking to Twitter as events unfolded on screen, viewers declared they were ‘rooting’ for him, with others begging producers to send in a ‘nice girl’ for the farmer.
