Time Out’s UK Best Places to Visit 2023 has named among the most underrated staycation spots across the UK. Based on the research, all of the destinations should definitely go on Britons’ staycation bucket lists.
Eastbourne topped the list of staycation destinations for 2023 and the gorgeous coastal town has plenty to supply.
Time Out said: “This coastal town might conjure up images of OAPs on coach holidays, pesky pebbles in your jelly shoes and hordes of tennis fans at Rothesay International, but Eastbourne is well on its approach to becoming a longtime hub for creatives.
“The Towner Eastbourne, an attention grabbing gallery sporting a vibrant mural by German artist Lothar Götz, has been chosen because the official host of the 2023 Turner Prize, to tie in with the venue’s centenary 12 months.”
The team also recommend tourists head out to the South Downs National Park to see some gorgeous English nature.
Time Out said: “Birmingham has long been bubbling away because the UK’s most underrated food destination.”
2023 may even mark the twentieth anniversary of town’s iconic Bullring shopping centre and the tenth anniversary of the Library of Birmingham.
Cardigan was the primary Welsh spot on the hotlist and there are many gorgeous beaches to explore there.
Time Out said: “West Wales stays criminally underappreciated, and charming Cardigan is likely to be its finest spot.”
