Wolves coach confirms proposal for Nottingham goal

Published:

Nottingham Forest had a busier transfer period than another EPL side this summer, which definitely played a component of their decent performance to date.

Steve Cooper’s side had a significant blow though as one among their fresh signings, Moussa Niakhate, picked up a hamstring injury that would leave him out of motion for a “few months”.

As you’d expect, the Reds are seeking one other centre-back, they usually’re set on Wolverhampton’s Ivorian defender, Wily Boly, who has yet to line up for his side this season.

The 32-year old’s absence from Wolves’ victorious clash with Preston North End yesterday (August twenty third) within the Carabao Cup second round raised questions on his reported exit this summer.

Manager Bruno Lage had a contradicting reason though, claiming that a possible injury was in charge for Boly’s absence. “…he didn’t feel that he could play,” Lage stated within the after-match interview.

Bruno, nevertheless, didn’t deny the potential for Wily’s exit this summer, confirming that there’s indeed a proposal for the Ivory Coast International. “I do know there may be a proposal for him,” said Lage.

Earlier reports claimed that Nottingham Forest’s 1 million pound bid for the previous Porto defender had been rejected by Wolverhampton, who demanded the next offer, which Forest are believed to have considered.

It’s not clear whether the said proposal is Cooper’s side’s believed second offer or one other side beat him to it for the defender whose contract with Wolves expires this season.
