World’s biggest cruise ships – including huge vessel that may carry 7,000 guests | Cruise | Travel

Cruise ships are getting larger on a regular basis and the world’s biggest ship is longer than the Shard lying down.

Currently, the five biggest ships on the earth are under the Royal Caribbean brand, with 2022’s Wonder of the Seas topping the list.

The brand is ready to interrupt its own record in 2024, with the launch of the mammoth Icon of the Seas.

Icon of the Seas is predicted to hit the water in 2024 with its first cruise resulting from launch from Miami.

The whopping ship may have 20 decks with seven swimming pools and the primary suspended infinity pool at sea.

Wonder of the Seas is 362m long and might carry a maximum of seven,084 passengers across 2,867 staterooms.

The ship has eight unique neighbourhoods, whirlpools and water slides and an enormous aqua theatre.

Wonder of the Seas even has its own park and a jogging track for guests who need to work off a heavy dinner.

Although the ship is the world’s largest by tonnage, Royal Caribbean’s Harmony of the Seas is definitely the world’s longest cruise ship.

Harmony of the Seas hit the headlines when it collided with a jetty in Jamaica but luckily there have been no injuries and only minimal damage within the incident.

Although larger might all the time be higher for some cruise guests, the world’s largest ships won’t be the most effective selection for each passenger.

Some ports have size limits on cruise ships so guests who need to spend as much time as possible in a destination may benefit from selecting a smaller vessel.
